This former Marine came to San Diego in 1996 where as an infantryman he learned to embrace selfless leadership in taking care of his own. He excelled as a Non Commissioned officer, earning two meritorious promotions and an appointment to the United States Naval Academy.
He graduated with a B.S degree in Economics in 2003. He attended the Navy Supply School in Athens, GA and was commissioned as a Marine Aviation Logistics officer. He commanded his own logistics detachment in Al Taqaddum, Iraq where he saved thousands of man hours, perhaps lives, by expediting the flow of material across a complex supply chain to a Marine forward operating base air base.
